Silly Boys Saturday

While Jake was preparing our Sunday dinner, the boys asked him to keep their food separate, like Monk. They didn't want their food to touch. Coby even asked Jake to make his potatoes square. ;)

Coby is fascinated with Barbie Thumblelina
Mommy, when are we going to get Barbie Thumblelina?
Mommy, did you know that that Barbie Thumblelina is a toy and a DVD?

Kai was upset because he missed dinner, Coby's response: Wah! Wah! Wah! Cry as much as you like, you never get what you want.

Not silly, but sure fun to watch Kai fly his Spiderman Kite.
A Pet Waste sign in the park across from our house broke. Coby picked up the sign and marched around saying "Clean up after your dogs!"
The school called me to let me know that Kai had a bloody nose. He bled all over his shirt and pants, therefore was unable to return to class. When he got home, I asked him how he got a bloody nose. He said "It just started bleeding!" The next day I got a note from the teacher - the kids said that Kai was stuffing wood chips up his nose to see how many he could fit.

Coby (With a big fat smile plastered on his face and he-he head bob): Mommy, I peed on the grass.
Me: Why?
Coby: Cuz I didn't have time to get to the bathroom.

Before 7:00 this morning (when I sent them back to bed), as per the boys report they watched (I figured out the times):

  1. 20 minutes of Olivia
  2. 70 minutes of Care Bears, 7 mini shows
  3. 98 minutes of Wall-e, the whole movie
  4. 75 minutes of The Incredibles, about 75% of the movie before I sent them back to bed.
  5. 89 minutes of Wii time. They played Family Game Night. Kai made a new player called Jeromky, for his Uncle Jerome and the monkey icon, he chose. Then Kai played the world of Goo, looked at the Weather Channel, created new Miis tried to play Metroid but thought it was too hard
  6. Undetermined amount of playing Pong
A grand total of 352 minutes or 5.9 hours of screen time. At least, they slept a couple hours after their banishment from the TV screen. It's going to be a long day of crankiness and whining.

Jake asked me how Kai knew how to hook up the Atari joys tick, Kai chimed in with his hands thrown out "I matched up the colors, ugh!"
