Sum Up Sunday 3/2-3/8

You know, I feel like I don't talk enough about Kai. He is a vivacious, gregarious, and loquacious (I think I'm up to 50 cents) little boy and I love him to pieces.

He decided to participate in the Story Telling Festival. He picked the Crayon Box that Talked as his story to share. I read it to him as though I was performing, using voices to give him an example of what he could do. He read it over a few times. We didn't go over it as often as I would have liked, but I let him take the lead on how much he wanted to prepare. I was worried, but without cause. He had it memorized, did voices, bobbed his head while his hands were stuffed in his pockets. He was cute. He missed top 3 by 4 points. That was the highlight of the week.

The stressful part of the week was preparing handouts to teach a class to the financial and cooking mini Enrichment groups about keeping produce fresher longer. The turn out was small so the actual instruction was a breeze. Also, I had a co-teacher, Carrian, and we were able to pick her brain about saving money. Here are some of the tips I shared:
