Cottage Cheese

Seems like everyday at lunch, I get the computer out to answer a question the boys have like today,

K: Why is it called cottage cheese?

M: Cuz "it was made in cottages from any milk leftover from making butter"

C: What's a cottage? D'oh I know this. It's a small house.

K: Usually in the woods near a castle.

L: Daddy. I have good news and bad news.
J: What?
L: The good news is that my shirt is dry. The bad news is that my shorts and underwear are wet.

Old Posts

I'm finally publishing old posts, so old some are from when DJ was 6 months. In case, you were wondering.

Coby's First Mani-Pedi

Last week, I sent Coby out to play. He came home with his nails painted.

Fingernails :Lime green and yellow
Toe nails: purple & pink with sparkles
He really wanted his nails to glow in the dark.
My brother, Jason, used to steal my glow in the dark nail polish.

Coby was surprised when the polish didn't wash off the next morning.
The look on his face was priceless.

M: You need special remover to get it off.
C: Oh. He shrugged then walked off.

He sported the look for almost a week before we took it off for church.

I still wish I had a picture of him when he dressed up as a Disney princess in heels.

I am so glad our blender broke, and Jake bought us a Blendtec Blender with a Wild Side Jar. I absolutely love it!  I have used the Blendtech more in the last four months than I did during the whole time we had the last one.
With #4's corn allergies, it has become necessary to make more things here at home from scratch. For instance, powdered sugar has corn starch in it. Now, I can blend my own powdered sugar. There is no way my old one could have handled that.

We have delicious smoothies, so our intake of fruits and veggies have increased.

We buy rice milk by the case at Costco, a cost effective method. We've discovered that almond milk works as a better replacement for cow's milk than rice milk in some of dishes. I'm so stinkin' excited to use my blender for so many things.
